Kanban boards together
Work on one board made with the community Kanban plugin with other people at once, and see who is on it and which card each is editing.
A board made with the community Kanban plugin, in a shared folder, updates live for everyone who has it open. Cards added, moved and edited appear on the other boards as they happen, and a card you are editing stays as you left it while others change the board around it.
This is the Kanban plugin's own board, a note in your vault. For the kanban view Obsidian 1.14 adds to bases, see Bases together.
What you see of each other
- Who is on the board. The faces in the board's header are the people who have it open.
- Which card they are editing. A card someone is editing is outlined in their colour, with their name.
- Their changes. A card someone adds, moves or edits changes on your board within moments, without you saving or reopening it.
While you edit a card
Others can keep changing the board while you edit a card. Your card is left as you have it until you finish, and their changes around it are applied then.
When you both change the same thing
Two people moving the same card, or changing the same line, at the same moment can leave both versions on the board. Nothing is lost; delete the one you do not want.
Turning live updates off
To have boards update only when they are saved, rather than live, turn off Live sync for Kanban boards in Settings → Nectenda → Editing. Boards are still merged safely when saved.
